Start Using Your WordPress Support!
You have 30 minutes of WordPress Support in your account. Below is more information about how to use the service and to get the best results from it. This page will also be emailed to you. Time to get started!
There are two ways for you to start using the service…
Phone – (513) 252-2909
It’s generally best to schedule time a little in advance so we can be sure to be available and focused on your project. We realize though that sometimes just want to get things solved right then so you can keep moving, so feel free to try whenever the need arises. If we aren’t available when you call please leave a message and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible, the next business day at the latest.
Email – pro_support@wpcentralstation.com
We find providing support over the phone to be the most effective use of the time but are happy to help via email as well if you prefer. Email is also a great way to get a call scheduled so we can be ready and solely focused on your project during that time.
Getting The Most From Your Support Time – Important!
There are several steps you can take to maximize the effectiveness of of your professional support time. Taking these steps will let us dig right into the problem to get it solved as quickly as possible. All steps are recommended…
Step 1 – Screen Sharing
We can optional utilize a Screen Sharing program called TeamViewer that is free for you to use. It let’s us see exactly what is on your screen, like we were sitting at the same computer, which makes it far easier to see, understand and fix problems. During our session, we will be able to operate your computer to show you exactly how to take certains steps to do different things in WordPress. This service is very secure and there is no way for us to access your computer without your knowledge and consent every time.
Getting it set-up is quick and easy. Just go to http://teamviewer.com/en/index.aspx and click the green button to download. Choose ‘personal / non-commercia’ for your version, you don’t have to pay and install it on your computer. When you open the program you will be given a ID and Password that you provide to us in order for us to access your screen that session.
Step 2 – WordPress Access
We’ll almost certainly need access to your WordPress admin center to help solve problems. You can either provide us your WordPress username/password or create a new admin member for us and send us the login info. Note, if you use screen sharing you can login for us so we can work on your site during our session without needing your login info.
Step 3 – cPanel / FTP Access
This generally isn’t necessary for support issues, but sometimes is. This login gives us access to your hosting account and mysql database that your WordPress content is stored in. It might be worthwhile to gather this information before your support session just in case. Contact your hosting provider if you are unsure of the access information.
